Kimball Gallagher in Karuizawa "The Preludes Dedicated"
Event information
The year 2022 is coming to an end while the world is still facing major challenges such as conflicts, divisions, and widening inequalities between ethnic groups, nations, and groups within a country. And we’ll have new year's day. It's time to think about the New Year and beyond.
We are pleased to welcome Kimball Gallagher, an up-and-coming pianist from New York, USA, to deliver a charity concert to pray for world peace and the happiness of children tomorrow.
Gallagher has traveled to 30 countries on 7 continents. He has appeared in concerts and salon concerts in famous halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall. In particular, the concert in Antarctica, the seventh continent, is said to be the first in human history by a professional pianist.
He has composed many preludes dedicated to people he met during his international concert tours. This time, we will perform a selection of songs centered on conflict areas. He prepared a participatory project in which the audience guessed which country it was made in. After the New Year's heat cools down, enjoy a heart-warming and enjoyable time in Karuizawa.

Winter training camp in Karuizawa for the French performance
Kimball Gallagher will give a solo concert in June 2023 at Salle Gaveau, France's leading hall. Prior to that, he chose Karuizawa for his winter training camp. We are proud that he chose this place to escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City and quietly go to the piano alone to hone his concert skills and sensibilities.
